Jazzband ABS

Welcome at the site of Jazz band The Able-Bodied Seamen. The most glamorous student jazz band of the Netherlands (we are not the only one saying this since we have won a student jazz contest twice!) The music we play is directly related to the old school Dixieland Jazz of the nineteen twenties through to the fifties. Since we are all students, the music we play is above all swinging and entertaining. As a band we are capable of playing at varying parties and occasions. Examples are; sports events, weddings, Jazz festivities/contests, exclusive dances or just on the street. We always manage to create that extra ‘vibe’ that makes the event where we play a success!
